Welcome to my blog! I am excited, if a bit tentative, about using this manner of communication. This is probably true mostly due to my relative lack of familiarity with the blogosphere.
This is intended to be a place where I can present my thoughts about any given topic for public consumption. I don't claim that my perspective is always the "right" one; it is what I believe based upon my experiences, convictions, and core values. I welcome comments as long as they are directly related to my writings and are presented in a manner that demonstrates respect and appreciation for all. If you wish to change my perspective, remember that, as my dad used to say, you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.
I don't expect to really advertise my blog. Whenever I have posted a new essay, I will likely mention it on my Facebook page. I welcome suggestions for topics about which you may like my thoughts. I can't promise that I'll take every suggestion, but I will try to consider each one. As the blog title implies, the thoughts I post here must be topics about which I am passionate. My logic is simple and dual. If I am passionate about a matter, it is invariably because I have had a personal encounter with it and, after the encounter, I felt that I came away changed - generally for the better. I then have a burning desire to share with others whatever perspective I gained in my experience. On the other hand, if I am not passionate about something, why should you care what I have to say about it?
I look forward to sharing my thoughts and discussing them here in a way that, hopefully, will provide beneficial results for all of us.
